CEO’s message: TORUN acquires CC Bark GmbH

Dear colleagues,

I want to share some good news with you. Due to long-term studies and negotiations, we founded a new company called “Torun Bark Magnesium GmbH” last week. The new company is headquartered in Schömberg / Stuttgart and shares in the company were split between 81% Torun Invest GmbH and 19% Bark Beteiligungs GmbH. This company has entered an asset deal with C&C Bark Metalldruckguss und Formenbau GmbH, which includes the machinery, equipment, inventories, customers, technology and employees of the Company. This new company will be active in magnesium die casting. In this way, we have expanded the production diversity of the Torun Group with magnesium. Both companies have many synergies due to the partnership they have entered.

We have done extremely harmonious work with our new partners. Therefore, I would like to thank our new partners Dr.-Ing Carlo Bark and Dr.-rer Cyrus Bark and the founders of C & C Bark Borries and Renate Bark.

I would also like to thank Torun Group team for their professional approach in contributing to the positive results of our work.

A summary of CC Bark’s History:

C&C Bark is recognized on the market as a quality standard for magnesium die castings for complex parts with critical surfaces and narrow tolerances.

It has specialized in processing magnesium for five decades Since 1986 focus has been placed exclusively on magnesium die casting, now using hot chamber and cold chamber processes

The product portfolio consists of saw, hammer drill and gear housings for the power tool industry, binocular and camera housings for the optics industry and ignition covers, gear covers, and valve covers for the motorcycle industry

Our company employs 78 people and has 6,500 m2 of administrative and production buildings on a total rented plot of 36,000 m2. The machine park consists of a total of 24 machines /equipment. Since 2015 some EUR 3 million has been invested in the renewal and expansion of the machine park, mainly to achieve differentiation in the area of large parts.
